DuckTV is built and operated by Docking LLC. This policy explains what the DuckTV apps (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, Android and Fire TV) do and don't collect. Questions? Email help@duckingstats.com.
DuckTV is a player, not a provider
DuckTV does not provide, host, sell, or bundle any channels, movies, series, or other streaming content. To watch anything you connect your own IPTV, Xtream Codes, or M3U service that you already have from a third-party provider of your choice. Your relationship with that provider, and their handling of your data, is between you and them.
Your provider credentials stay on your device
The server URL, username, password, or M3U playlist link you enter to connect your service are stored locally on your device so the app can reconnect. We do not upload, sell, or share those credentials. They are sent only to your own provider's servers, over the network, to load your channels and on-demand library — exactly as any IPTV player must.
What we collect
To find and fix bugs and understand which features people use, DuckTV collects a small amount of anonymous, aggregate usage data, for example:
- App opens and basic session activity
- Feature usage — e.g. that the guide, multiview, sports, or fantasy screens were used
- Crash and error diagnostics — e.g. that a stream failed to load, so we can improve reliability
- Coarse device/app info — app version, platform and device type
This data is not tied to your identity and is used only in aggregate to improve the app.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data, ever.
- We don't use it for third-party advertising.
- We don't collect the names of the specific channels or titles you watch to build a personal profile.
- We don't transmit your provider username or password to our servers.
Optional: DuckTrack
If you choose to connect the optional DuckTrack companion, DuckTV sends your watch activity to your own DuckTrack account so your favorites, recents and history sync across your devices and appear on your personal dashboard. This is entirely opt-in — if you don't set it up, nothing is sent.
Your choices
You can turn analytics and diagnostics off at any time in Settings → Privacy inside the app. You can clear your stored provider details by signing out, and removing the app deletes the data it kept on your device.
Children
DuckTV is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
